Well I finally worked up the guts to sent out a newsletter to all the people on the Aqua Adventures e-mail list explaining that I'm going to be leaving Aqua Adventures and moving home to the frozen north.  Like I just told a friend earlier, I feel sort of empty inside.  I only wish I could have all of the amazing people and great places I've been in one place.  That must be what heaven is.

My head has been in a cloud lately as I try to keep up with the day to day around the store and prepare for this trip, while at the same time coming to terms with what leaving here really means.  I'm going to miss all the friends I've made around here more than I ever realized.  Somehow ironing out the details of this trip has been a invaluable distraction keeping my mind off of all that I'm leaving behind.

What a great idea!!! Grew up in NY State and have gone thru the locks of the Erie Canal and portage canoed the lakes of the Adirondacks. You will love it, have fun.

Jake,

Thanks for responding to my message. I will share your trip with my friends and students and I'm sure you'll inspire us to be better people as we relate to the outdoors. Try to live each day in the moment because it is your only reality but also plan well and look forward to all the wonderful friends are are about to make in route!!

May God bless you with a safe and wonderful journey.

Sid

Jake,

A few years ago I found Aqua Adventures on the Web and booked a tour of Mission Bay and watched the Sea World fireworks. You were our guide. I have a family that now paddles every week thanks to the love of the sport that you showed them.

Good Luck with the project.

God Speed,

Ryan

Good morning Jake. Drive safe and we'll see you in Wisconsin in a couple of days.

Hanging is too good for a man who makes puns -- he should be drawn and quoted. Do you agree?
